Being a mechanic of 35 years and not having the chance to work on one of thease engines, I found this book most informatived and helpful. The book is well written and easy to follow. There are many tips and good photos to guide you when working on one of thease engines. The author saves you money by telling you what works and doesen't, through knowledge gained from others who have experimented years ago. I would recomend this book to any one interested in restoring or working on one of thease clasic engines

One of the best how-to books written.
Engine rebuilding is only as good as your attention to detail, and this book walks you through your rebuild step by step. I have owned my copy of this book almost twelve years, and I consider it one of the best automotive books I have. Do not try to rebuild a Ford V-8 without this book by your side. I have rebuilt over 70 engines and I still find it useful.

How to Restore Your Ford Pickup

Motorbooks International;
A reader from East Lansing, Michigan , September 25, 1998
An excellent resource of tips & techniques for restoring
While titled as a manul for Ford trucks from 1947 to 1967, I found this book so filled with helpful advice, and practical tips and techniques, that it is worthy of being in any auto restorers library. I do have an old Ford truck that I will be doing, and I am sure the advice I have already received from a cursory review of this book will save me hundreds of times the cost of the book. If you are new to restoring old cars or trucks, this book will go a long way to helping you get started.
