Jeeps from throughout the years includes such popular and collectible models

Book Description
In the course of a little under 60 years, the
Jeep has evolved from little more than mechanical mule into the epitome
of luxury four-wheel- drive vehicles. This book traces that heritage from
the delivery of the first Jeep by Willys Overland to Allied military services
in 1941, through popular postwar civilian models like the CJ and on to
today's Grand Cherokee SUVs. Specially commissioned color photographs document
all the models and the Jeep's growing icon status as marque ownership passes
from Willys to AMC and finally to Chrysler.

Four Wheeler
Magazine, March 1998
Another must have for the Library The Jeep
Bible: Second Edition by Granville King Almost 15 years ago, Granville
King, in his unique style, published a book specifically written for those
of us who love, live and breathe Jeep. There has never been a more user-friendly
instruction book on how to keep your Jeep alive than the Jeep Bible.
The main body of the work discusses each of the major components of any
pre-1986 Jeep: Leaks and Noises, Engine Troubleshooting, Manual Transmissions
and Transfer Cases, and more. The book was originally published in 1985,
but recently benefits form another Jeep enthusiast and technical expert
- Four Wheeler's own "Techline" answer man, Willie Worthy. Willie spent
many days and nights making a few corrections along the way, as well as
adding his own personal stamp on the Jeep Bible, with three additional
chapters covering everything from engine to axle swaps, locking differential
options, wheel and tire combinations, and synthetic lubes, to name a few.
In addition, Willie compiled, quite possibly, the most comprehensive listing
of Jeep sources ever assembled. These are not just books, they are the
resource. Fergawdsake, git yours ratt now!

This book answers
Jeeper's "most asked" tech questions!
I spent 20 years twisting wrenches as an ASE
Certified Master Tech and worked on a passle of 4x4s before "retiring"
to write full-time six years ago. I'm still (and always will be) a gearhead,
so much of my work has focused on the mechanical side of things. Part of
my work these days is answering Jeep tech questions and a couple of years
ago, I began to notice the same ones coming up again and again. I also
noticed a sad lack of deep technical info on many Jeep componants. It wasn't
long before the idea of a Jeep performance handbook took shape in my head
as an answer to jeep owners wanting a map to chart their path through the
mechanical minefield of a Jeep buildup. My goal was to offer cost-effective
advice and sound engineering principles to help you build a better Jeep.
I hope you enjoy reading this book half as much as I enjoyed writing it.
See you on the trail! Jim Allen

Jeep Prototypes
- A book for all Jeepers, January 18, 2001
Reviewer:
Aaron
J. Heiner from Maryland
I found this book to be quite differant than
other Jeep books owned. This book provides a brief overview of Jeeps that
were never produced. Having dozens of books on Jeep, and have thinking
that I have seen every prototype ever made, this book proved me quite wrong.
There were litterally dozens on Jeeps that I had never seen before. This
book is a must for all hardcore Jeepers. Personally a few color photos
would have been nice for the price but the few unseen Jeeps included makes
up for this.
